Wolfe City Kiwanis Club of Wolfe City, Texas supports many projects for local children including weekend food (MARK – meals for at risk kids) bags, summer library reading programs and clothes for Wolfe City area children. We also deliver meals to seniors every fifth week in collaboration with four other organizations. One of our bigger weekend projects is to hand out Thanksgiving and Christmas meals provided by Hunt County Shared Ministries.
Our other projects and events include holding a community Easter Egg Hunt at Wolfe City Park. We have four age groups and fill eggs with candy. We also have 4 special prizes, two Easter baskets of goodies for the younger children and two prepaid gift cards that are donated by local merchants for the older two groups.
We host a toy drive every year to make sure local children get gifts for Christmas. We call Santa and get him to visit the Pre K and Kindergarten classes at our local elementary school. Santa brings a gift for each child when he visits.
The Wolfe City Kiwanis Club contributes to and partners with local organizations throughout the year.
